What’s In My Makeup Bag 2013

29 Apr

I did one last year so it’s just about time I make an updated one. But first let me tell you about this lovely makeup bag…. It is from Baviphat which I got from my trip to Seoul so yes, this is still part of the Korean Mega Haul (Arrrgh I just want to get this done already!!!!)

I bring a backpack to work. It is a laptop bag so it’s not actually spacious. A flat makeup bag like this is really ideal.

so here’s what’s inside..

Nothing has changed from my touch-up routine from last year. I just have different products this time, obviously. So I’ll just go thru them very quickly. For my touchup routine please check my previous ‘What’s In My Makeup Bag’ post here.

Face Stuff:

  • Nature Republic Blotting Sheets which I got for free when I bought my CC Cream
  • The Balm Pressed Powder in Sexy Mama
  • The Balm blush in Hot Mama
  • The Balm bronzer in Bahama Mama

**can you tell I have been The Balm crazy for months now! Luvs them <3**

Lip Stuff:

  • Burt’s Bees lip balm
  • Revlon Lip Butter in Peach Parfait
  • L’Occitane lip gloss

Miscellaneous Stuff:

That’s it! It’s not as fun as other makeup bags but this is really all I need ^^. I bring a full size body splash with me so there is no perfume whatsoever in my bag.

so what’s in your makeup bag today?? =^.^=

(Mini)Haul: Pure Gold – Duty Free

6 Apr

**first, I apologize the pictures are dark 😦

I was atΒ  Sunset Shore Beach in Bataan this Holy Week with my cousins and boy, I had fun ^_^ I have the coolest cousins, aunts, niece and nephews ever ^_^. On our way to the beach, we stopped by Pure Gold – Duty Free in Subic to get some stuff. For those who don’t know, Duty Free sells US products TAX FREE! That’s why I was excited to check out their beauty counters. There’s nothing much there actually just very few Maybelline and L’Oreal stuff (then some perfumes) but I did manage to buy a couple of items πŸ™‚

1. Maybelline Falsies Mascara ($8)

my current mascara is “due” next month but since this is like Php200 less (actually, everything there was like Php200 less that mall price) plus my cousin got one so I was like, what the heck and got myself also ^_^.

2. L’Oreal Rebitalift Double Lifting Eye cream ($18)

I’ve been meaning to have this eversince I saw my pictures in my Tiffany Tutorial. I hate how my eyes looks saggy and old so I’ve been in the search for a good eye cream and I have a good feeling about this ^_^

3. Revlon French Manicure Kit ($12)

Actually, I got this for my sister because I don’t do manicures and she is crazy about them so I’m pretty excited to give this to her ^_^

The price tags are in US $ so since I’m horrible at math I constantly have to ask the sales lady for the peso conversion of everything T_T

That’s it, I told you it’s “mini” but I’m good. There’s nothing more there that I need. It would be nice if they have more brands and products but that’s OK since I RARELY go there ^_^ But to end this post let me show you a pic I took of the beach from the balcony of the villa we rented ^_^

and also my cousin’s gf’s cute doggie Zion πŸ™‚

My Foundation Routine

8 Jan

Just sharing how I do my face (full) make up and products I’ve been using lately

yes, this many πŸ˜›

1. After my skincare routine I prime my face using Skinfood’s Black Egg Pore Primer to lock in the skin care products and also serve as a barrier between my skin and make up.

2. Conceal red pimples and pimple marks with the green concealer from Elf Studio‘s concealer palette using the concealer end of my Suesh back to back brush and Missha for my undereye (and some blemishes too ^_^), using the foundarion end of the brush to spread it out.

3. Dab on foundation using stippling brush from Elf. I love using Revlon Color Stay for full coverage. I’m in shade ‘Sand Beige’.

4. To rid off brush streaks, I spritz my Skinfood Red Orange Makeup Finish on a sponge then dab it on all over my face. This is a matte type skin finish so it helps keep my makeup long lasting. It also gives an airbrushed effect ^_^

5. Finally, I set my makeup by swiping my stippling brush with a foundation twice then lightly swipe it on the T-zone first then use what’s left for the rest of my face. I’m currently loving Maybelline’s Angelfit foundation. I’m in shade ‘Light Ocre’.

6. This one’s optional but for ‘extra glow’ I apply Benefit High Beam on the bridge of my nose, the ‘C’ shape around my eyes and temple and a tiny bit on my cupid’s bow and the area below my lips.

That’s it!

What’s your foundation routine???
